‘Teal Cup’ - TITAN of the YEAR AWARD

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Sebastian on being awarded the 2024 Titan of the Year on Grand Final Gala Day.

CONGRATULATIONS Seb, very much deserved and a very popular choice.

Here is part of his nomination-

"Over the years, Sebastian has been a large part of the Senior 3 team.

He encourages his team mates with his pep talks before, during and after each game.

Sebastian is supportive towards his fellow players and enthusiastic with every goal his fellow players score

Sebastian will always thank the opposing team for their great sportsmanship, when they lose!!

We all know what a big heart he has and his devotion and enthusiasm towards the Titans has always been above and beyond.

I think he would be a fantastic recipient of the Teal Titan of the Year award."

A bit of Teal Cup history….

Sutherland Titans FC was formed in 2005, by then Gymea United FC President Stuart Teal (pictured here with Seb) & his daughter Bree Teal. Games were initially played at Gymea Bay Oval 2 on Saturday afternoons. Stewart Teal who became the first Titans President, and his daughter Bree, spent many hours on and off the field to ensure that these games took place.

To celebrate Gymea United FC’s 60th anniversary in 2019, and the history the club has with Titans, GUFC approached the Titans executive and it was decided GUFC would sponsor a Titan of the Year Award with a trophy to be named the 'Teal Cup' and a small gift.
