About the Titans

Sutherland Shire Titans FC became the Sutherland Shire Football Association’s (SSFA) 26th club in 2006. After a successful debut season playing under the name Sutherland Shire Special Division in 2005.

In 2005, 4 teams of children with various disabilities participated in an abbreviated competition.

The Pandas, Polars, Koalas and Grizzlies had an immensely enjoyable season culminating in a trophy presentation and BBQ at Gymea Bay Oval hosted by Gymea United Soccer Club.

Players are welcome from all areas and the club currently has players from the Shire and surrounding districts, making the Titans FC the largest soccer club of its type in NSW.

The aim of Titans FC is to include kids with disabilities in mainstream sport and to have lots of fun at the same time. Games are played on Saturday afternoons and have a similar format to SSF for younger players through to full field for our senior teams. Players are encouraged to play independently of parents or guardian, however a parent or guardian may accompany their child on the field. Games are played against teams who have byes in their SSFA competitions each weekend.

Teams from our club play against mainstream teams of appropriate age in modified games. From 2017 Titans FC has called Coachwood Oval at Alfords Point its home ground after spending a number of years at Harrie Dening Football Centre, Kareela. In many ways this completes the identity of the Titans as we now have our very home piece of grass to call home!
